  • Beijing Institute of Education Sends Delegate to MI Institute

    Boston, USA.  On November 9th 2009, the Chairman of Beijing Institute of Education (BIE), Professor Ma and his team of visiting scholars met with key members of the MI Institute (MII) in Boston, including MD of MII Ms. Julie Viens and Dr. Howard Gardner.

    The delegates from BIE discussed with Ms. Viens and Dr. Gardner on their areas of research focus and exchanged views on the development of MI in China.  Dr. Gardner shared his experiences about China and provided insights on how MI might be useful under different cultures.  He also shared a story about his visit to a school in Sichuan province.

    Said Professor Ma, “It is a great honor to meet with Professor Gardner and we look forward to further collaboration with MII.”  Added Ms. Viens, “We are deeply appreciative that the delegate team has traveled halfway across the globe to meet with us, and we are confident that this will grow into a fruitful relationship for both parties.”

    Following the meeting, the BIE delegates met with MII’s research group and reached an understanding on future research cooperation, starting with co-organizing the Multiple Intelligences World Symposium in 2010.
