  • MII Consults for a Leading Art's Museum at Boston

    Apr 7, 2010

    For Immediate Release

Boston, USA. Multiple Intelligences Institute will develop a series of family activity kits for deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum to enhance the experiences of the visitors.  The project involves the design and development of five theme-based interactive kits for museum visitors (ages 5-12 years).  The objective of the kits is to support the engagement and interaction of young visitors with outdoor sculpture at the Museum.  The kits will be developed using a multiple intelligences definition of intelligence as a guide to develop the content and experiences of the kits.

There are two primary goals in using MI theory in kit development.  First is to help ensure that a range of different types of learners (children with different collections of intelligence strengths and interests) engage positively and more deeply in the Sculpture Park.  Second is to help ensure that any child can engage with outdoor sculpture in multiple ways (i.e. through different combinations of intelligences, using different symbol systems, taking different points of  view) .

Kits will be developed from March, 2010 through June, 2010.
